Review of the Hanky Tanky Hanger

by The Organizer Lady dot com on July 15, 2009

From time to time I review products that I feel will help to organize your home and organize your life, things intended to make life easier, help with time management, give you more space in your home, etc.

The Hanky Tanky Hanger is intended to hold twelve garments. It sells for $19.99 on their website, http://www.hankytankyhanger.com. It comes in black, red, pink and white colors. It’s about 20 inches wide.

I received a black Hanky Tanky hanger to try out. The product has to be assembled. While the overall assembly is easy regarding the actual steps to put the item together, it was very difficult to actually assemble it. It took my husband and my nephew to have the strength to push the bars into the holes. While it is hard (physically) to get it together, the good thing about it is that there is virtually no chance of the bars ever coming out and your clothes falling to the floor. Once assembled, it’s pretty much going to stay together.

This item is perfect for someone with a lot of clothing and/or little closet space. It’s great for kids’ clothes, hanging undergarments, using to hang things on that you don’t want to put into the dryer, pants, etc. The swivel hook makes is handy, and the drop down effect allows to to see pretty much whatever you have hanging on it, so there’s a lot less digging to find what you are searching for.

Overall, the Hanky Tanky Hanger is a wonderful organizing and space saving product that would be useful to anyone needing to organize their closet and/or save space. It looks nice, fits to about any decor, and is an asset to any closet.

I cannot see a use for this hanger. What could you hang on it? 12 items? Looks like clutter to me.

Okay, take it back. It might be fine for children’s or very petite person’s clothing. Oh, you will need a really deep closet to hold them too. It definitely wouldn’t work for me, wouldn’t fit in my closets.
